Refund & Cancellation Policy
Our promise — and the fine print.

The short version
You hear two song previews for free before you pay. After purchase, if there's a technical defect with your file (corrupted mp3, wrong recipient name, generation failed) we'll fix it or refund you in full within 7 days of delivery.
1. The free preview window
Before you're asked for payment, we generate two complete song versions for you to listen to. This is the real preview — not a 30-second clip. You can listen to both versions in full and walk away with no charge if neither resonates.
We do this because we know how personal a custom song feels, and we want you to be sure before you spend. The free preview is the cancellation policy for everyone who hasn't paid yet — you simply close the tab.
2. After you purchase — full refund eligibility
If you paid and any of the following happen, you're entitled to a full refund up to 7 days after delivery:
- The audio file is corrupted, won't play, or can't be downloaded
- The recipient's name is missing from the song entirely (the AI failed to mention them)
- The wrong genre or wrong language was delivered after you selected something different
- Song generation failed and we couldn't recover it within 24 hours of payment
- You paid for the video addon and the video render failed or wasn't delivered within 48 hours
To request a refund: email hello@giftsthatsing.com with your order ID (it's in your confirmation email). We respond within one business day.
3. After you purchase — what isn't refundable
Because each song is generated uniquely for you, the following are not grounds for a refund:
- You changed your mind about the genre or occasion after listening
- The recipient didn't react the way you hoped
- You wish the lyrics had referenced something you didn't mention in the story
- You picked the wrong recipient name or made a typo and the song reflects what you submitted
- You don't love how the AI voice sounds (we offer two versions per order specifically to mitigate this — pick the one you prefer)
What we will do instead in these cases: regenerate the song once at no charge, up to 7 days after delivery. Email us with the order ID and what you'd like changed.
4. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. Funds typically appear in 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer. We don't hold the funds — Stripe sends them back the same day we approve the refund.
We do not offer store credit or gift cards in lieu of refunds.
5. Chargebacks
If you have a problem with your order, please contact us first at hello@giftsthatsing.com before filing a chargeback with your bank. We respond within one business day and almost every refund request gets approved.
Chargebacks filed without contacting us first cost both parties more time and may result in your account being flagged for future orders.
6. Subscriptions / recurring charges
We don't sell subscriptions. Every purchase is a one-time charge for one song (or one bundle, or one video addon). You will never see a recurring charge on your card from us.
